Take down the red flags that attract RAC scrutiny

Every day, physicians provide excellent patient care, prescribing drugs in a safe, efficacious manner. And every day, many of these same physicians do not support their drug administration with correct and/or complete documentation. Recovery Audit Contractors across the country are drilling into medical records, looking for documentation that does not meet Medicare standards for medical necessity. Do not take any chances. Join us for this webcast, part of our 2012 Pharmacy Series, and learn the steps you can take to prevent auditor action. Highlights:
  • Auditor red flags: incorrect and incomplete documentation to support drug administration to patients
  • Actual examples from RAC and OIG audits
  • How hospitals have responded to these audits by strengthening their documentation practices
  • Guidance to ensure that your hospitals documentation will support medical necessity
