Dont wait for the auditors to take action!
ICD-10 offers approximately 140,000 codes and 8,000 categories. This greater level of specificity could be a problem for radiology practices that are accustomed to coding with non-specific diagnosis codes. It is possible that claims will be denied if a non-specific diagnosis is coded.
How can you prevent being negatively impacted by this change? Prepare.
In this webcast hosted by radiology coding expert Donna Richmond, you will:
- Gain a greater understanding of the structure and changes in ICD-10
- Address ICD-10 myths and facts
- See examples of code specificity
- Identify a strategy for your practice to begin preparing for the transition
- Discuss how documentation can be enhanced to promote ICD-10 coding accuracy
